shampoo the carpet or shampoo on the carpet?

A few weeks ago I was doing the laundry and when I went upstairs I found that Abby and Josh had taken the spray sunblock and sprayed it on the carpet all the way down the hall and in their bedrooms. This fiasco was followed up by pee on the floor and poop in the shower. It was quite the day. Anyway a friend lent me her carpet cleaner to use as long as I needed since they no longer had carpet. (sounds good to me right now). Well it has been crazy and I haven't been able to shampoo the carpet yet, fast forward to Tuesday. We were getting ready to go to the beach with some friends who moved away and were coming back to visit and I was making lunch to take. The kids were all upstairs playing and I in my naive way thought oh the kids are playing so nicely upstairs. Ha Ha Ha! What was actually happening was that Toby and Tyler were watching tv on my bed and Abby and Joshua had gotten into the travel size shampoo bottle that I gave Tyler to use after swim practice. Not only did they have it but they were shampooing the stuffed animals and the blankets and the carpet. I was so frustrated when Tyler came running downstairs to tell me that his pooh bear had shampoo all over it, as did his bunk bed. I mean really now I have to clean this up too! Luckily James was home so he shampooed the carpets while we got ready to go to the beach. In case you were wondering hair shampoo on carpets is not a good thing!

Kids say and think the funniest things

I have been in Primary for 6 years. For 4 years doing the music and for just about 2 as the 1st counselor. A couple months ago I got released to do cub scouts so now I get to go to Relief Society on Sunday and be with all the ladies. I don't know how happy about that I really am yet. But on Sunday as we sat down at church the person who is the new counselor in Primary said to me that Tyler did something. Automatically I thought I was going to have to sit in Primary to keep him in control, but I got lucky this time. She said she was in his class and they were talking about the word of wisdom and she said tobacco was bad for you. Well Tyler kept telling her not all tobacco is bad there is one kind that you can have. After they went back and forth for a little she finally got out of him the kind of tobacco that was o.k. He told her, "you know the kind that is red and really hot." She said, "Oh, Tabasco". And he said, "yeah tabasco". I guess we need to teach him the difference between tobacco and tabasco :)

Jamie's First Birthday

So James took the day off for Jamie's Birthday, and the poor little baby girl woke up with a fever. After a slow morning we went to the pool for a little party with our pool friends. We go swimming virtually everyday, so we went to have a little party with them. Jamie had her first cake there. She wasn't sure about it at first, but then she LOVED IT!! She was not a very happy girl for long, so we brought her home and her temp was 102.1 I felt so bad for her. This was her big day and she was sick. After a nap she was a little better, but she didn't have much dinner and went to bed early. So we had another party for her on Sunday to make up for how yucky she was on Friday. She was in a much better mood, more like herself. Now she is one and one week. I can't believe it has been a year. She is walking more and more everyday. She would walk more if we kept the shoes off of her. I wish Grammie and Grandpa Inskeep could see how cute and good natured she is. I have considered shipping her there but I don't think that would work out so well. :) I guess they will just have to take my word for it.

New Blogger

O.k. So I am totally new to this and it will probably take me a while to get it all figured out. With siblings and parents moving farther away I thought that this might work. Since I am not so great at getting a hold of everyone so I thought that maybe I can keep everyone up to date with this blog. So this is just my test posting. Have a great night.
